XGLO® Fiber Optic system

Our cable of choice for any new infrastructure. The XGLO® fiber system from Siemon is ideal for next generation backbone or fiber-to-the-desk (FTTD) applications. XGLO cable assemblies feature premium fiber meeting IEEE 802.3 10 Gigabit Ethernet Standard as well as IEC-60793-2-10 and TIA-492AAAC specifications for laser bandwidth Differential Mode Delay (DMD) specifications. XGLO utilizes laser-optimized fibe for superior transmission performance for 1G or 10G Ethernet applications. Specify and install with confidence that the XGLO range will satisfy any demand for 10 Gigabit ethernet.

 

Product offerings include: 

OM1 (62.5/125) – Typically this grade of Multimode Fiber is used to match existing installations due to limited support for Gigabit Ethernet (275 meters) and 10 Gigabit (26 meters) applications.

OM3 (50/125) – Our cable of choice for any new multimode infrastructure. The OM3 XGLO® fibre system from Siemon is ideal for next generation backbone or fibre-to-the-desk (FTTD) applications. XGLO cable assemblies feature premium fibre meeting IEEE 802.3 10 Gigabit Ethernet Standard as well as IEC-60793-2-10 and TIA-492AAAC specifications for laser bandwidth Differential Mode Delay (DMD) specifications. XGLO utilizes laser-optimized fibre for superior transmission performance for 1G or 10G Ethernet applications. Specify and install with confidence that the XGLO range will satisfy any demand for 10 Gigabit ethernet (maximum cable length 300m).

OM4 (50/125) offering the same application support as OM3 with the extended distance of 550m for 10GBase-S applications.

OS2 (9/125) Singlemode provides application support where extended distances in excess of 550m are required. This may include backbone links between buildings such as campus links. Supports 10 Gigabit backbones up to 8000m using 10GBase-L or 30,000m using 10GBase-E applications.

All Siemon fiber cables are available in a variety of strand counts ensuring you have the capacity within backbones to support current requirements and future growth. Our designs will ensure suitable expansion is incorporated within your network. With a wide range of splicing enclosures, trays and singlemode and multimode modules and pigtails, Siemon fiber splicing solutions support all your single and mass fusion splicing needs

The XGLO cabling solution is backed by Siemon’s exclusive 20-year warranty, providing 100% coverage of products, cabling performance and applications, when installed by when installed and tested by Structured Cabling Services as a Certified Installer. The XGLO cabling solution is guaranteed to meet IEEE 802.3ae 10 Gigabit Ethernet requirements as well as IEC-60793-2-10 and TIA-492AAAC specififcations for laser bandwidth Differential Mode Delay (DMD) specifications. In addition, it exceeds all ANSI/TIA/EIA and ISO/IEC insertion loss and return loss requirements.
