This new standard
defines clearly every stage from design to installation of a structured cabling system.
Part one covers specification documentation and operation of structured cabling
systems. This ensures the end users applications and future requirements are discussed and
incorporated in to the specification. Future growth of the installation is another
important consideration including cable containment and pathways and rack sizing.
Part 2 deals with the actual installation of the solution. Including topics such
as safety, installation practices and in particular requirements for EMI performance,
power separation, and grounding/bonding.
At Structured Cabling Services Limited we are looking very closely at integrating
this standard into our existing quality procedures it is an excellent way of
proving to the end user that the solution installed is of the highest standards.
